Dallas Smith & The
Boys From Shiloh This is a wonderful collection of truly American music made by a man who has lived the music. DALLAS SMITH & THE BOYS FROM SHILOH release this 14 song CD filled with classic Bluesgrass, played from the heart. Fans of Bluegrass music over the last forty years have enjoyed the performances of the legendary Smith clan from Possum Holler near Overton Tennessee. Dallas and his brother Bobby began their careers with the help of cousin Lester Flatt and Bill Monroe. They played venues and concerts across the country, made records, had their own television show and played the White House for President Nixon. On this recording, Dallas is joined by his hotpickin' ensemble and assisted by reowned Dobro artist Josh Graves, fiddle virtuoso Vasser Clements and Dallas' brother and Coldwind Record recording artist, Ken Smith. A quote taken from the magazine BLUEGRASS UNLIMITED says "Dallas is one of the especially nice people in the business who truly loves the music, and his friends who are part of it." |
