John Wright Minneapolis singer/songwriter John Wright releases his first solo effort- an ambitious 12-song CD collection of folk, fusion and world beat originals. Wright is an active member of the Twin Cities music scene, playing with hard-working bands such as Tim Mahoney, The Rhythm Doctors, and Kevin Bowe and the Okemah Prophets plus doing sideman duty with Stuart Martz and Billy McLaughlin. AT CROSS PURPOSES carves out an adventurous musical beginning for a fine new talent. In recent years, Wright was twice nominated for "Best Bass Player" in The Minnesota Music Awards.
