Ole Ask Ole Ask from Oslo, Norway, sings with a voice somewhere in between Tom Waits and Joe Cocker. On this 13-song CD in his North American debut, most of the original songs were recorded with Ole's Norwegian ensemble "Ask.. The Band." The material covers a broad spectrum of musical expression and emotion, all rooted in classic American idioms. Three new songs were recorded recently in Minneapolis with top players- BobbyVandell- drummer once touring with Bonnie Raitt, Roy Buchanan and The Time, Willie Murphy- musician extraordinaire/ producer of Bonnie Raitt's debut album, Billy Franze of Dr. Mambo's Combo, Bruce McCabe of Lamont Cranston Band, Hoopsnakes and Jonny Lang fame and national guitar journeyman- Jimmy Behringer.
