Cold Wind Records was founded in the 1980's to help local Minnesota bluesmen fulfill their goals. It was the idea of rabid blues fan Gary Richard, who asked Tim Bradach to join him.

The first album was by the mentor of many area bluesmen, Lazy Bill Lucas. Lamont Cranston's, TIGER IN YOUR TANK was soon to follow, these albums were offered as vinyl LPs. TIGER IN YOUR TANK was released on CD for the first time in 1999.

Gary Richard left the label in the early 90's. Tim Bradach then began Narnian Records to do music other than the blues. Thea Ennen's ALL ABOARD was the first Narnian production, and won BEST FOLK RECORDING in 1994 from the Minnesota Music Academy. The next Narnian release would be a bluegrass recording featuring Dallas Smith, Vassar Clements and Josh Graves in April 2000.

Cold Wind and Narnian Records are now working together for artists from around the world and nation besides the wonderful talent in Minnesota.
